Rolf Radespiel

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rolf Radespiel is the Head of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics at TU Braunschweig since 2000. His research is focused on aerodynamic design of Aircraft configurations, transport aircraft, high-speed and hypersonic space vehicles as well as high lift flow control through numerical and experimental analysis. He is a.o. the president of OSTIV, the Co-Spokesperson of the Cluster of Excellence “Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Aviation” and Chairman of the Board of the “Niedersächsisches Forschungszentrum für Luftfahrt“. He has been awarded a.o. the Cross of Merit of Lower Saxony in 2013 for his research in increasing the efficiency, quietness, safety and environmental compatibility of air traffic. Before becoming Head of the ISM he worked at DLR, NASA and Daimler-Benz Aerospace Airbus GmbH.
