Andrea Rausa
(POLIMI)

Andrea Rausa is a PhD student at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano. He pursued his bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Politecnico di Milano in 2017 and 2020 respectively. His research focus is the numerical simulation of ice shedding from both rotating and not-rotating wings. The objective of his work is to develop an open-source tool that is able to assess the effectiveness of de-icing systems like pneumatic boots or electro-thermal heated surfaces. He is also working on the MONNALISA European Project on the numerical simulation of separated flows over wings at high angles of attack via a multi-fidelity approach.
