Giuseppe Quaranta
(POLIMI)

Giuseppe Quaranta received a M.S. degree in aerospace engineering in 2000, and a Ph.D in aerospace engineering in 2004 both at Politecnico di Milano. He is currently Full professor of Aeroservoelasticity at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DAER) of Politecnico di Milano. He published several papers on international journals with peer review process in the field of muldisciplinary modelling for aircraft design and verification focusing on aeroservoelastic stability, vibrations and noise reduction, rotorcraft-pilot couplings, icing  and innovative Fluid Structure Interaction approaches. He has been involved as investigator in several EU funded research on rotorcraft and tiltrotor dynamics. Coordinator of the first European network of Universities NITROS that offers a Double Doctorate on rotorcraft safety, he leads now a CleanSky 2 project devoted to the exploitation of simulation to improve the certification process for rotorcraft.
