Henidya Putri Heramarwan

Henidya Putri Heramarwan, from Jakarta, Indonesia, earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. During her studies, she specialized in Mathematical and Physical Modeling in Aerospace Engineering as well as Design and Construction of Aerospace Vehicles.

During an ERASMUS+ exchange at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, she conducted CFD icing simulations and participated in icing wind tunnel experiments. Her Master’s thesis, co-supervised by NTNU’s UAV Icing Lab and the University of Stuttgart’s Institute of Aerodynamics and Gasdynamics, focused on in-flight icing on rotors for eVTOL unmanned aircraft. The results of this work were presented at the 2023 SAE International Icing Conference in Vienna.

Alongside her academic career, Henidya gained professional experience through internships at Bosch GmbH and the Research and Development department of Porsche AG. She was also an active tutor for the Institute of Aircraft Design during her studies.

Currently, she is an MSCA PhD Fellow in the TRACES network, DR2. Her doctoral project focuses on developing virtual certification tools and procedures for in-flight ice accretion. The goal of her research is to establish a simulation-based framework, particularly using CFD icing simulations and flight dynamic models, to accelerate and enhance the current icing certification process.
