Ilia V. Roisman is Apl Prof. at Institute for Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics, Technische Universität Darmstadt, Darmstadt, Germany. He is the Head of research group on Drops & sprays & theoretical fluid mechanics at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics (SLA) at TUDA
His work mainly focuses on Mechanics, Drop impact, Drop, Classical mechanics and Wetting. His research integrates issues of Diesel spray, Surface tension and Spray nozzle in his study of Mechanics. Ilia V. Roisman has researched Drop impact in several fields, including Nanofiber, Composite material, Nanotechnology and Polymer.
The Drop study combines topics in areas such as Rotational symmetry, Splash, Optics and Inertia. His Classical mechanics study incorporates themes from Flow and Pressure drop. His work deals with themes such as Multiphase flow, Contact angle, Inertial frame of reference and Liquid drop, which intersect with Wetting.
