DR Pavlos Stratakos

Pavlos Stratakos was born in 1999 in Athens, Greece. He studied Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics at the University of Patras, where he obtained his master’s degree in April 2023. During his studies, he actively participated in various projects where he developed a keen interest in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. In his diploma thesis, he delved further into electrodynamics, plasma physics, and turbulent flows. Utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), he developed an innovative numerical model describing the impact of plasma actuators on aerodynamic surfaces. Currently, as an MSCA Ph.D. fellow at TRACES, he focuses on researching the formation of ice layers on aircraft surfaces.
