Alessandro Donizetti
(POLIMI)

Alessandro Donizetti is a PhD student at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano. He pursued his bachelor and Master at Politecnico di Milano in 2018 and 2021 respectively. His research focus is on the development of a numerical framework for multi-step simulations of long-term in-flight ice accretion. In particular, he works with implicit domanin meshing techniques, to tracking the evolving air-ice interface and generating a body-fitted grid required for the the computation of the flow field around the new iced geometry. He actively works in the development of the in-house software for ice accretion PoliMIce. He contributed to the European project ICE-GENESIS to develop the next generation of 3D simulation tools for icing.
