Riccardo Parin
(terraXcube – EURAC)

He obtained his Master degree in Energy Engineering (2015) and PhD degree in Thermo-mechanical Energy Engineering (2019) at the University of Padova. His research focused on the relationship between surface properties (surface energy, wettability, roughness) and two-phase heat transfer processes. In 2019-2020 he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Sydney in the School of Chemistry, working on the ACWA (Advanced Capture of Water from the Atmosphere) project. The project focused on developing a passive nano-structure coating to capture water from the atmosphere. From 2021, he is working in Eurac Research in the terraXcube center where he is focusing on UAVs and ice accretion studies. Author of several scientific journal articles and currently co-supervisor of three PhD students.
